Fannin County Jail Roster Overview
The official roster path for Fannin County jail custody is the Offender Index Fannin County roster. It is the starting point for current inmates, bookings over the last 24 hours, and inmates by booking date. The browser page is free to view, and no login was shown in the research. It is tied to the sheriff-operated Adult Detention Center, which is the county jail for felony and misdemeanor defendants waiting for bond or court action.
The roster is not a statewide criminal-history search and does not replace the Clerk of Superior Court or Magistrate Court. Jail records can show arrest and booking data before formal court charges are filed or changed. If a person was sentenced to state prison, use the Georgia Department of Corrections locator. If the person is in sentenced federal custody, use BOP. Immigration custody uses ICE ODLS. No official Fannin sheriff or Blue Ridge Police app with a jail roster was found in the research.
The sheriff's detention page is shown in the official screenshot below. The Fannin County Adult Detention Center page is the local source for jail services, bonding, visitation, medical policy, and the facility phone line.
The sheriff page is important because it supplies details the roster does not, including money deposits, commissary, medical screening, and the local visitation schedule.
Use the Fannin County Roster
The Offender Index roster uses three search routes. Current Inmates is the normal custody grid. Bookings Over Last 24 Hours is helpful when the arrest is new. Inmates by Booking Date can search a date range and includes a previous-inmate option when available. If both date fields are left blank on that tab, the roster instruction says it can show all inmates.
- Open the Fannin County inmate roster in a normal web browser.
- Choose Current Inmates for a person believed to be in jail now.
- Enter first name, last name, or both. Use fewer letters if the spelling may vary.
- Try Bookings Over Last 24 Hours for a new arrest that is not yet easy to find.
- Use Inmates by Booking Date when the booking date is known or the person may have been released.
- Call the detention center when the roster does not match a reliable arrest or custody report.
Search result rows can expand after the grid loads. The public template supports profile tabs for charges, visitation, history, and other data, though the fields shown depend on what the jail system returns. Fannin's configuration disables public photo display in the roster view.
Fannin County Roster Search Fields
The roster field inventory is useful because it shows what a reader can actually enter. It is not a broad warrant portal or a state conviction database. It is a jail roster with name, date, and booking-tab tools. Direct API requests were blocked during research, so browser access should be used.

Fannin County Inmate Profile Fields
A roster result is a jail record, not the final word on guilt or case outcome. The row-level fields can show name, custody status, sex, height, weight, arrest date and time, days in jail, and total bond. The charges tab can show warrant number, counts, statute, description, offense type, and court. The template also includes tabs for visitation, history, and other information.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name | First name and last name as displayed by the roster. |
| Status | BookedStatus or other jail custody status returned by the system. |
| Sex, height, weight | Basic public descriptor fields. |
| Arrest date and time | The arrest or booking event recorded by the jail. |
| Days in jail | Count of days since the recorded jail event. |
| Total bond | Bond value at the row level when returned. |
| Charges tab | Warrant number, count, statute, description, offense type, and court. |
| Other tab | ID, date of birth, and age are enabled; housing location is disabled. |
| Mugshot | The generic template has an image slot, but Fannin's public roster configuration turns photos off. |
Important: Roster charges may be arrest or booking charges. Court filings can later amend, dismiss, indict, or replace them.
Fannin County Inmate Access Chain
When the roster does not answer the question, use the access chain documented in the research. For county pretrial or local jail custody, call the Adult Detention Center at 706-632-2045. For booking records, book-in reports, incident reports, photos/DVD, or video/DVD not visible online, use the sheriff's open-records email, OPENRECORDS@FANNINSHERIFFGA.US. In-person requests should start at the jail address, but public lobby hours were not published in the official source reviewed.
The county and court records routes are separate from the sheriff roster. Fannin County's open-records page gives a county form and fee language for county-held records, while the Clerk of Superior Court handles criminal indictments and Superior Court case files. Magistrate Court is the better early-court source for warrant applications, search warrants, first appearances, and preliminary hearings. That split prevents a common mistake: a jail roster can confirm custody and booking facts, but it may not show the later filed case record or final court disposition.
For sentenced state custody, use GDC Find an Offender or the direct GDC query. For federal sentenced inmates, use the BOP Inmate Locator. Federal pretrial custody through the U.S. Marshals Service has no public inmate locator, so the court, USMS district, or holding facility must be contacted. Immigration custody uses ICE ODLS, which excludes under-18 records.
| Situation | Best First Source | Backup Source |

| Current county jail inmate | Fannin Offender Index | Detention Center phone line |

| Sentenced state prisoner | Georgia DOC locator | Georgia V.I.P. for victim notice |
| Sentenced federal prisoner | BOP Inmate Locator | Federal court or BOP records |
| Immigration detainee | ICE ODLS | ICE Atlanta Field Office |

Booking Process in Fannin County
The sheriff page does not publish a full booking checklist, but it does state that inmate accounts are set up at booking when the inmate has money with them. The usual path is arrest by the sheriff, Blue Ridge Police, Georgia State Patrol, or another agency; transport to the detention center; booking into the jail system; account and property processing; medical screening; housing; and bond or court scheduling.
Medical screening is unusually specific in the official source. The jail provides a complete medical screening within 14 days of arrival. After that, requested medical care carries a $5.00 copay for inmates with funds on account. Dental services are only provided if the inmate pays a local dentist in advance. Those details matter for inmate records because intake does more than create a roster row; it starts account, medical, housing, and court processes.
Magistrate Court is the early-custody court source. The Fannin Magistrate Court page says its Criminal Division handles warrant applications, search warrants, first appearances, preliminary hearings, and county ordinance violations.
Fannin County Jail Visitation
Fannin County publishes a detailed in-person visitation schedule by day and housing group. The official page does not publish a full dress code, accepted ID list, attorney-visit rule, child-visitor rule, or locker policy in the source reviewed. Call the detention center before travel, especially if the inmate was just booked or may have moved.

Fannin County Commissary Funds
Inmate accounts are created at booking when the inmate has money. Family and friends may bring money to the jail lobby for the automated system or use Inmate Canteen. The sheriff page lists commissary items such as drinks, candy, snacks, paper, pens, and personal hygiene items. Specific deposit fees were not published in the sheriff source reviewed.
The Inmate Canteen vendor page is shown below. The Inmate Canteen site is the online route identified by the sheriff detention page for money and commissary access.
Confirm the person is still in Fannin County jail custody before sending funds, because state prison, federal custody, and immigration detention use different systems.
